Welwyn Garden City Group Therapy

Welwyn Food Therapy Group

Are you looking for some help with your fussy eater? We are running our next food therapy group for 3-10 year olds starting in Welwyn Garden City on 12th January 2019. There are 10 sessions in total, plus an assessment on 8th December 2018 at Howlands Baptist Church. It is important for us to work with children over this period of time, so they can learn a new way of looking at food. Parents/carers must attend the sessions so the right support can be given at home.
WHEN: Every Saturday, starting 12th January 2019 @ 10.30am

WHERE: Howlands Baptist Church, The Commons, Welwyn Garden City AL7 4RW

CLASS SIZE: 6 children in total (1:2 staff ratio)

COST: please contact us first to discuss your child’s needs

Find out what some of our parents think:

How do I know if my child is a fussy eater?

Here are some quick questions you can use to check if your child would benefit from our group classes.

  1. Is s/he eating less than 20 different types of food?
  2. Does s/he refuse to eat either whole textures or categories of food?
  3. Does s/he excessively cry or throw a tantrum when presented with new foods?
  4. Does s/he gag or vomit when offered or in the proximity of new food?
  5. Does s/he reacts excessively to food on hands or around face?
  6. Does s/he struggle with social eating e.g. in restaurants with the family?

If you are interested in the Welwyn group or would like to discuss your child’s needs further, please get in touch and we’ll happily go through this with you. Please fill in the short form below, and Jacqueline Parkinson will contact you.
